A Hundred Years From Now
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.

Just Can't Live Without It!!
Yesterday I got my bills for the past month. My jaw dropped when I saw how much they were. I started thinking of ways to save money. I started with my Sasktel bill. But I realized that I wasn't willing to give up any of the services. I want my tv! I sit and rot my brain after reading a textbook or working on an assignment. I need my phone, otherwise I'm completely disconnected from the outside world. I thought about maybe getting rid of internet. Then I realized that I really needed that too. Maybe almost more than my phone!! I realized that most of my life revolves around internet. Not just talking to friends and checking email, but university. Like right now, blogging is part of my mark for a university class. Without my own personal internet I would probably be sitting at the university. But would I really want to be there alone at 10pm at night? Probably not!! The things that we used to think of as a luxery, are now becoming more and more a necessity. It's kind of scary!!

What your saying is sad but true Jenna, there is no denying how reliant we have become on the internet. The good news is, you might not even need cable t.v. anymore because we should be able to download most of our t.v. very soon :)
I absolutely agree Jenna. I need to have things like my phone, my computer and my TV. It used to be that these were luxuries but now it seems society assumes that everyone has them. We ask students to do phone interviews, work on computers of watch certain shows on TV. We are required to have these things in order to do homework, etc. Clearly we can't live without technology.
Jenna!!
I would have to say I was thinking the exact same thing last night... As i was sitting in front of my TV after my night class, I decided it was a good time to check my emails, text my friend and upload my recent pictures. I started thinking, "What would I be doing otherwise, right now?" In all honesty, I'd probably would have just gone to bed. What else is there to do? Isn't it sad that that's what we rely on to fill our time? I can't seem to do homework without ALSO being on MSN, or listening to music, or watching a movie... something else has to be occupying my time as well. In a lot of ways, technology is definitely we all rely on. I just wonder what everyone did before they could be occupied by technology? haha
